Update!

Ok Ladies, you should all be getting an email to be authors of h.c.w.c.r.g! I'm kind of new to the blogging thing and didn't really know what I was doing the first time...so now you should all be able to do your own posts on the blog and stuff like that. We had a blast last Thursday and you missed out if you weren't there! Jessica was awesome and gave away super fun goodie bags and we at some really yummy food. Everything had to do with the book, soooo creative and way toooo cute for my "book" (haha)! Thanks Jessica for such a fun time. She took pictures with her camera so I will be excited to see them posted.

Get ready for next month's h.c.w.c.r.g, March 25th at Olga's house...the book is Pope Joan. I'm giving fair warning now, the book is about the 800's (very enlightening) and I'm so glad I didn't live back then. It's a little barbaric, but that's what book clubs about right?!...being open to all sorts of new ideas and educating ourselves. I'm not finished with it yet but so far...interesting.

I hope more can make it next time, and if you have a friend who would like to be involved bring em' along.

Baby Boy Lau is Here!!!

Brennan had her baby this last week! He was 4 weeks early, weighing in at 5lbs 9oz....and is doing just fine! He is soooo stinkin' cute! Brennan is doing great but just didn't expect her little guy to come so early. We are so glad you are both well, congratulations...

Kickin it off!

The first book club of the "Hot Chicks who can read Good" ;), was super fun. Most people had things going Thursday night but none the less all four of us had a fantastic time meeting each other, eating..mmmm...and picking our next 3 months of books. I'm sorry whoever didn't make it, you missed out on Costco's 7 lbs chocolate cake! For starters h.c.w.c.r.g will always meet on the last Thursday of every month. So all you ladies who did not make it to the first meeting, you will have about a month to read our first book, The Hunger Games. We have decided that being a part of the book club you will do the following, one month you will bring 2-3 book choices, the next month you will host book club (i.e. at your house, a coffee shop, or a restaurant) and don't worry we don't expect you to pay for everyone. If you hold it at your house I think it would be fun to have an appetizer and a dessert or something of the sort. The month after you host book club you will do the review of the book that we chose from your book choices. I know we all have super busy schedules so you could always have someone else come with your book choices and/or hold the review for you if you can't make it. Anyway, if you can't tell, I'm super excited about the "Hot Chicks Who Can Read Good" and can't wait to see you all next time. I will send each of you a spreadsheet of the next three months books, reviewers, and hosters...if anyone would like to sign up please just email me and let me know what works for you. Next month it will be held at Jessica Litsters house, Malaena will do the review of The Hunger Games and we already have March's book so nobody will have to bring book choices. Ps....The books for the next three months are also posted on the sidebar, so you can get ahead, ha right ;)
